MMA fighter Ronda Rousey has earned plenty of respect and attention due to her down-to-earth attitude, charisma and ruthless skill as a fighter.  She’s got ESPY’s, Hollywood and even breakfast sandwiches.  In November, Rousey is planning to fight former women’s boxing champion-turned undefeated UFC women’s bantamweight contender Holly Holm.  While many have questioned Holm’s decision to take on Rousey, her manager has recently revealed that the fighter was offered upwards of six figures to accept the fight.

Rousey is going to be earning more for this fight than Cat Zingano did for her own bout with Rousey at UFC 184 in February, where the previously-unbeaten challenger earned a staggering $100,000 according to figures released to the California State Athletic Commission (CSAC).

When she was interviewed about her thoughts on the fight, Holm has said that she “fears everything” about Rousey; Rousey has a well-rounded game, with skill in the fields of standup, ground and clinch, among other things.  Rousey isn’t an opponent where you only have to worry about one aspect of her game.  Luckily for Holm, she has experience in the field of pro boxing, and some of the skills earned through there could translate well in the cage.  Nonetheless, Holm pointed out that there were certain aspects of her boxing career that wouldn’t work well in a fight with somebody like Rousey, who has exceptional skill at Judo.

Despite her fears of Rousey, Holm has said that she still thinks she’s beatable.  It will be an extremely difficult fight, Holm believes the toughest of her career, and winning it will mean doing everything perfectly right from start to end.  Nonetheless, Holm is going into the fight with every intention to win, even if Rousey puts up an impossibly good fight.
